Repurposed native rimu ceilings and soffits, milled with historical significance in the 1870s, envelope the living area with warmth and the stories of well over 150 years. Mixing this with the contemporary interior design, this home provides the setting for motivating memories to be made.
This home has an ideal location! A short walk to the Powder Keg, Kings and other restaurants for dining, or to various walking tracks at the base of the mountain. Whether skiing/boarding at the local ski fields, driving 2 minutes to the Carrot Adventure Park, biking to the start of the Old Coach Road or the Mangawhero river track, this property is a perfect base for any adventure.

All beds at this property are new sleepyhead beds and come made up with linen prior to your arrival. This includes a top and bottom sheet, pillow slips and towels.
Bathrooms:
Two modern full bathrooms are equipped with gas hot water ensuring everyone gets a decent hot shower. A generous sized bathtub is perfect for relaxing. EnSuite shower includes a rain showerhead.
Kitchen:
Architecturally designed open plan kitchen, complete with top of the range appliances and everything you could wish for. Nespresso coffee machine, needs compatible coffee pods.
Open living area:
The living room has a 65 inch smart TV with Netflix. Unlimited Wi-Fi. Board games and puzzles are handy for quieter days. The dining table comfortably seats 6 and is located beside the kitchen island. The front of the house frames the mountain view and the large glass sliding stackers allow for indoor/outdoor flow.
Heating:
There is a large fireplace as well as a heat pump in the open living area. The bedrooms feature a heat transfer system which warms the rooms sufficiently, especially within the colder months. Large ceiling fan helps circulate warm air.
Laundry/Drying Room:
The property is fit out with a laundry room, and purpose-built drying room. There is a front loader washing machine and dryer as well as a bench top and basin. The drying room is loaded with shelves and hangers, you will not be left with wet boots the next day. The custom-built boot rack can dry 6 pairs of boots at one time, powered by a convection heater.
Outdoor living:
Enjoy the spectacular views of Mt Ruapehu on the large outside decked area. Front deck built on large landscaping boulders which cascade to the ground.
Parking:
Onsite parking for maximum 2 cars only. No blocking neighboring driveways and no parking in the private way.
